Harry Potter! The Complete Saga Review!

Harry Potter - The Boy Who Lived, singled out by Lord Voldemort at birth to be his greatest rival and our hero.

Hello, my friends! Thanks for coming! Today I am going to talk about Harry Potter Saga!



The plot is about a boy, Harry Potter (played by Daniel Radcliffe), who discovers being a wizard and goes to study at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Throughout the story, we see the protagonist mature and discover obscure secrets about the world of magic. Until they need to face their number one enemy: Voldemort (played by Ralph Fiennes).

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone! 

Harry Potter was left at the door of his uncles' house after the death of his parents and his victory over Lord Voldemort when he was still a baby. Until Harry had received a letter from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he was living with his terrible uncle. Hagrid, who takes him to Diagonal Alley to buy school supplies and withdraw money from his parents' inheritance on the Gringotts Bank. From then on, Harry goes on to discover a magical world he had never imagined. Living the most diverse adventures with his newest friends, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. At Hogwarts Harry unintentionally discovers in a room a three-headed dog that kept the philosopher's stone secret! And find out that Voldemort wants that stone too! There's beautiful art direction and set design. Featuring an all-British cast, and the performances are good also. Some of the CG effects are pretty good, such as the sorting hat or putting the face of Voldemort on the back of Professor Quirrell's head.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets!

The second book of the Harry Potter saga is the Chamber of Secrets, the young wizard, even during the summer break. He receives a rather unexpected warning: Harry should not return to Hogwarts School of Magic and Witchcraft because terrible things would happen in school. But then, Harry is rescued by his friends Weasleys, and returns to school in the company of Ron - his best friend - in a flying car, ignoring the warning of Dobby, the house-elf. The new Defense Against the Dark Arts Professor, Gilderoy Lockhart (Kenneth Branagh), who is considered a great heartthrob and does not miss an opportunity to do personal marketing.

Harry realizes that strange things happen: he hears voices that no one else understands. Attacks against students and Mrs. Norris herself, Mr. Filch's cat, the guard, appears petrified. This film is also significant for introducing the concept of Horcruxes, items which contain a fragment of Lord Voldemort's soul, through which he can live forever. Chamber of Secrets was created by the same people who made the Philosopher's Stone. This movie is more frightening than the first with the threatening atmosphere.

Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban!

The third year of Harry Potter and his classmates at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They learn more advanced witchcraft, and the plot becomes even more dark and gloomy. A great danger runs through the school: the murderer Sirius Black (Gary Oldman) fled from Azkaban prison. Azkaban is the prison for wizards and warring wizards, guarded by the dreadful dementor guards, who feed on the souls of the prisoners. Hogwarts now features a delicate gothic footbridge, a massive clock tower whose pendulum swings menacingly across the school's entryway, the crystal lake, etc.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire!

In his 4th year at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, Harry Potter is mysteriously selected to take part in the Triwizard Tournament. An international competition where he will have to face older and more experienced Hogwarts students as well as other magical schools. The appearance of the black mark of Voldemort at the end of the Quidditch World Cup puts the community of wizards in a panic since it indicates that the evil wizard is about to return. One of the most entertaining aspects is the drama of our three main characters hating each other.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Alone with the Dursleys, Harry Potter is following the news. And in a Muggle neighborhood, Harry is ambushed by Dementors! To save his life and his Cousin Dudley, Harry has no choice but to use magic - even though it will mean being expelled from Hogwarts. Also, Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge (Robert Hardy) imposes on the school the presence of Dolores Umbridge (Imelda Staunton), who becomes the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. It turns out that Umbridge's classes, though approved by the ministry, cover only mild subjects, leaving students unprepared for the dangers of the present day. While the Ministry of Magic still does not believe that the terrible Dark Lord is back. Voldemort and his faithful Death Eaters have begun to prepare for his return to power. However, there is a new hope: an old secret order, of which Harry's parents were part, has reorganized itself and Dumbledore is attentive. Harry Potter is back for another year full of dangers, suspense, unexpected revelations - and of course, magic!

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Harry Potter is now 16 years old and ready for a new year. At the same time,  He and his friends learn the meaning of adolescence.

He suspects that the danger lies within the Hogwarts School of Arts and Wizardry. Albus Dumbledore (Michael Gambon) is more worried about preparing him for the final confrontation with the Dark Lord. Dumbledore invites his colleague Horacio Slughorn (Jim Broadbent) to be the new Potions teacher. As Severus Snape (Alan Rickman) finally achieved the dream of teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts classes. At the same time, Harry begins to take an increasing interest in Gina Weasley (Bonnie Wright). The sister of his best friend Ron (Rupert Grint), who is also interested in Dino Thomas (Alfie Enoch). After Harry developed the two magical abilities over 5 years and increased the connection with his opponent. The most feared wizard Lord Voldemort, Harry, and Professor Dumbledore's School Director are involved in a quest to uncover Lord Voldemort's past - in an attempt to defeat him and his followers (the Death Eaters).  Harry suspects that his colleague, Draco Malfoy, has teamed up with Voldemort preparing a plenum that endangers everyone at the Hogwarts School. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is enjoyable and atmospheric.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: part 1

It's Harry's seventh grade at Hogwarts. He could not wait to leave the Dursely, go back to school, and meet his friends. Lord Voldemort (Ralph Fiennes) and his Death Eaters know that the transfer is about to happen and await its completion to attack. To make it happen, several friends of Harry, like Rupert Grint, Hermione Granger, Remo Lupine, Hagrid and Moody Eye. Take the Polyjuice Potion and assume the physical form of Harry. The intention is to mislead Voldemort about who the real Harry is so that he can safely get to the Burrow, home of the Weasleys. The mission succeeds, but soon, the situation becomes even more dangerous. Minister of Magic Rufus Scrimgeour (Bill Nighy) is killed and, instead, assumes one of Voldemort's minions. Harry and his friends are being hunted mercilessly, forcing him, Ron and Hermione to flee. They are at their most isolated and strained, faced with a seemingly impossible quest. Needing to continually change places, they devise a plan to find and destroy the Horcruxes that can eliminate Voldemort once and for all.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: part 2

Harry, Ron, and Hermione continue to search for Horcruxes. Their goal is to find and then destroy them to eliminate Lord Voldemort once and for all. With the help of the Elf Claw, they enter the Gringotts bank to invade the vault of Bellatrix Lestrange. From there they return to Hogwarts Castle, where they must find another Horcrux. In parallel, Voldemort prepares the final attack on the castle. Harry and Voldemort meet at Hogwarts Castle for an epic showdown where the forces of darkness may finally meet their match. The revelations are powerful and moving in their own right.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

The new episode of the franchise begins in 1927, with Gellert Grindelwald (Johnny Deep), who is imprisoned in the United States, being transferred to London's magical incarceration. However, in an initial scene full of action and visual effects, the villain fights his captors and runs away. So Grindelwald, while recruiting allies, must find Credence Barebone (Ezra Miller). Who fled to Paris and maybe the only one capable of killing Albus Dumbledore (Jude Law), the dark wizard's greatest enemy. The boy is also wanted by Tina Goldstein (Katherine Waterson), in the service of the American Ministry of Magic. Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), who is acting at the request of his former teacher Dumbledore. In this plot appear characters already mentioned in the previous film, such as Queenie Goldstein (Alison Sudol), Jacob Kowalski (Dan Fogler), Leta Lestrange (Zoë Kravitz) and Theseus Scamander (Callum Turner) and are introduced new, such as Yusuf Kama (William Nadylam) ) and Nagini (Claudia Kim). However, not all have essential roles or are fully developed. The couple will visit Newt in London, but eventually, fall out, and Queenie leaves for Paris looking for Tina. Newt, upon receiving from Dumbledore the function of finding Credence before Grindelwald, goes to Paris with Jacob. There, they meet with Tina and Yusuf Kama, who wishes to kill Credence to resolve a family issue. In this context, Jacob, a non-magician, becomes overshadowed, and his actions have no real bearing on the story.

This is the first time the Harry Potter universe has made such explicit political and historical references. Grindelwald's words dialogue with the events that occurred in Europe in the mid-twentieth century and with the current context, given the recent rise of so many populist leaders. However, despite his importance in the plot, the villain is played by Johnny Deep, an actor accused of assaulting his ex-wife, Amber Heard.

Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald

At the end of the film, Grindelwald (Johnny Depp) gives a big speech to get supporters, including Queenie (Alison Sudol) and Credence (Ezra Miller). In the Harry Potter story, the Dumbledore family is formed by Percival Dumbledore (father), Kendra Dumbledore (mother), Albus Dumbledore (son), Aberforth Dumbledore (son) and Ariana Dumbledore (daughter). No book or movie has ever mentioned that Albus would have another younger brother. And if the Fantastic Beasts franchise ever put up a battle between the two of them, it would be strange that the wizard never mentioned it. Albus was reserved with his personal life but showed guilt for Ariana's death and the story of the Dumbledore was revealed by the author in the book of The Deathly Hallows. Putting a family member who has never been named now is, to say the least, odd.
Another point is the birth and death dates of the characters. Percival Dumbledore died in mid-1890 in Azkaban Prison. He was arrested after attacking Muggle boys who caused a significant trauma in Ariana. Grindelwald Crimes took place in 1927, and Credence is under 20 years old. So he was born around 1900, by which time Percival was imprisoned - and possibly already dead - in the wizarding prison. On the mother's side, the dates don't match either. Kendra died in 1899, at age 48, when Ariana lost control of her magical powers and caused a massive explosion. So even if she got pregnant with Credence in her last year of life, the boy would be at least 27 years old. In a 2016 interview, for example, Ezra Miller stated that Credence is 18 years old in Fantastic Animals and Where to Live, which would make him 19 followings. With this data, Credence's year of birth is 1908, when the two Dumbledore family patriarchs were already dead. Of course, there's a good chance Grindelwald is lying, and it's all just a trick to get the boy to his side in battle. That would solve the question of dates, but narratively it would be questionable. Ending such a long-awaited fan movie with an untrue “revelation” can create public frustration that awaits a cohesive story, and instead receives long-term narrative devices.
