Hello, my beautiful friends! Thanks for coming again! How are you living? So, Today I am going to talk about a romantic comedy-drama called Crazy Rich Asians!
Crazy Rich Asians |
The heir to a vast fortune falls in love with an ordinary woman, and the couple must face the resistance of their family to continue together. There are hundreds of such stories out there. Despite that, it's one of the clichés we love the most! Since we were not born rich, who never dreamed, even as a joke, to find a husband/wife and riches to live in the highest luxury, with everything right and the best? It's these stories that help us imagine what this life would be like, and that's why they're so good.
This is a "Pretty Woman" princess fantasy story of an ordinary woman. Rachel Chu falling in love with a rich man who then pulls her to his wealthy family home out of the country and introduces her to the world of luxury. So what's the difference between Crazy Rich Asians? Firstly, one thing about which we never tire of talking about: Representativeness. The vast majority of these stories are starred only by white people, which is not the case in this one, as the name itself suggests. And with a group of 100% Asian characters, the great merit of Crazy Rich Asians is to end the stereotype that all Asians are the same.
I loved the strong female characters, starting with the lead. Who turns in a high performance that shows real range in several parts, including those with the mother and her boyfriend's mother. What an empowering character as well - smart, kind, honest, and graceful. rich people problems
There is a great diversity not only of personality but also of appearance. Also, the fact that it takes place in Singapore draws attention to a lesser-known region of Asia - most of us are only aware of works in Japan, Korea, and China. And that was definitely one of the things I liked best about it: Kevin Kwan introduces us to a fascinating, grand, modern Singapore with beautiful scenery and sumptuous cuisine. Honestly, I even dispense all the luxury of the characters, but I wanted at least to be able to sample some of the dishes mentioned throughout history. And all this from someone who was born and raised there.
Also, the story and the characters are fun. Show costly people problems, and some twists are also well worthy of the story. But overall, it's nothing to get in the way of it, in my opinion. I had a great time, perhaps because I did not take it very seriously.
