A Ghost Story Review - What do you do to make the world a better place?

A Ghost Story - is a 2017 American supernatural drama film written and directed by David Lowery. 

Hello, my friends! Thanks for coming! Today I am going to talk about the movie called A Ghost Story.

Ghost witness our suffering and fear but have only the most limited ability to intervene. The film is suspenseful, dourly funny and at times piercingly emotional.



A young couple lives in a house in a quiet place. One day, the guy ends up getting involved in a car accident, and with that, he died. The dead man ends up getting "back" to life, only in the form of a ghost with a white cloth. He intends to reconnect with his wife. A Ghost Story is the incredible journey of a spirit in search of something he is continually looking for, something precious. Back to belong to something, a place, or someone. The film narrates the trajectory of this ghost uniquely. He seeks at all times to return to the life of his wife. He becomes a figure that is always next to her. In all the rooms of the house that they inhabited, but at the same time to be nowhere. Ghost Story manages to raise and make us reflect on our existence, and what happens after it. How long does it take to say goodbye to someone?

Allied to all these existential questions that are very well worked by the director David Lowery we have a special affection for the technical part. The frames, always highlighting the ghost there in the corner, next door, is perfect. In this way, we can situate ourselves, and feel how much he tries to reconnect, but he is only a spectator of a life of which he was part. There are several beautifully sequenced planes, showing landscapes and giving even more dimension to the ghost's pilgrimage in search of something that will let you go. The soundtrack is good, and fits the scenes nicely, giving more weight to them.




Ghost Story is an odd movie that tells an exciting story about someone who has gone too early and left unfinished business. If someone can figure it all out. Impossible not to reflect on our lives and what we are doing or not doing. Certainly one of the most beautiful films I ever saw, with a straightforward narrative and full of meanings. A contemplative work that borders poetry, as if it were a poem with sad and beautiful verses, about what our existence can mean.

Lots of visual storytelling. It's very different and very original! It`s so good with an emotional drama.
