Hello, my friends! Thanks for coming! Today I am going to talk about a book called The Ocean at the End of the Lane.

This story is about helplessness and innocent ignorance of childhood with universe-old wisdom, with mystery in the corners of reality in the world. There are friendship and love and cruelty and resentment. And there are monsters, But the real monsters come from the people. What lives inside us. There is a magic, adventure, overcoming fears, those things that children know and adults no longer understand or remember.

It's about a middle-aged man remembering his childhood. It's about child abuse, about the tragedy that he did go through when he was a child. This book isn't really an adult book. The few adult scenes felt added as an afterthought to try and convince us, that this is actually a very grown-up kinda story.

He returns to his childhood home to attend a funeral. He visits his old house before wandering down to the farm at the end of the lane, a place that starts to bring back a strange sequence of memories as seen through the eyes of a young boy.

The writing is fantastic and relaxing. Immerse in the period. It seems like a fantasy story. Unfortunately, It's a short reading. But, with beautiful messages. I found it truly fascinating.
