Hello, my beautiful friends! Thanks for coming again! How are you living? Today I am going to talk about a nostalgic game that I loved so much! Sonic 2!

Sonic Classic 1991 Ultimate Figure

The plot is pretty simple! The evil Dr. Robotnik begins to transform all the creatures on the planet into robots. Sonic, a blue hedgehog that runs fast, must use his ability to stop him and save his friend. Dr. Robotnik wants to accomplish this by using the 7 Chaos Emeralds. His goal is world domination! The gameplay remains the same as Sonic the Hedgehog 1: levels you have to cross in less than 10 minutes. On the way, robots are faced, and rings are collected. Sonic gains a new move: the Spin Dash, which allows him to accelerate without leaving the place. Although there are ten stages, and the bosses are more comfortable, compared to the previous game.
The game differs from the original Sonic mainly because it was not developed by the Sonic Team, but by a US division of Sega, the Sega Technical Institute. But the programmers of the first Sonic, Yuji Naka, and Hirokazu Yasuhara traveled to the US to work on the game.

For the game was planned the creation of a partner for Sonic. In an internal contest, Yasushi Yamaguchi's two-tailed fox was chosen. He wanted to call him Miles, but the rest of the team called him Tails. Unhappy, Yamaguchi pushed the name Miles Prower (a pun on Miles per hour) to the character, renaming him Miles as "Tails" Prower (making Tails a nickname). Sonic 2 had the debut of the Tails character, the two-tailed fox, who accompanied Sonic in his adventures during this and several other games in the series.

Sonic, The Hedgehog Sonic, will travel all over South Island in search of power rings, monitors, and of course the Chaos Emeralds. Miles "Tails" Prower Sonic's new helper will use all the power of his tails to fly and run after his hero, Sonic. He has perfected the Sonic airplane, the Tornado, which helped the heroes reach Eggman's space base, Death Egg. Dr. Ivo "Eggman" The chubby crazy scientist, will chase Sonic and Tails throughout his journey.

So I asked myself, who composed these songs?

So I found out that it was Masato Nakamura.

Masato Nakamura is a bass guitarist, composer, and record producer. Along with Miwa Yoshida and Takahiro Nishikawa, they make up "Dreams Come True," a Japanese Pop group. Dreams Come True has sold more than 50 million records worldwide since their debut in 1988. In 2002, Yoshida and Nakamura established "DCT Records," a production label for their work.

By the way, if you don`t have the opportunity to play the Sonic 2 on Sega Genesis, there is a new one called Sonic 2 HD. It still in development with artists and animators taking liberties with additional detail, animations, effects, and storytelling elements. But you can play the Demo version.
