Angels and Demons - is a 2000 bestselling mystery-thriller novel written by American author Dan Brown and published by Pocket Books and then by Corgi Books. "Wikipedia"Hello, my beautiful friends! Thanks for coming again! How are you living?
Again, I have to say that I LOVE murder, mystery, detective kinda story. So, Today I am going to talk about a book called Angels & Demons!
Angels & Demons |
The well-known symbologist is called in by the director of CERN when a renowned scientist is found murdered. The scientist had created anti-matter, in an attempt to demonstrate that divine creation of the universe was scientifically explainable. The scientist has, of course, a brilliant and beautiful daughter. The tale has much payload regarding the Illuminati, an ancient group of scientists who had formed a secret society in opposition to the church.
Every time the action picked up in this book is fantastic. My heart raced, reading line after line. Reading the book cleared up a lot of unanswered questions and it was different enough from the movie to keep me gasping out loud at plot twists. Even though some might find his twists unbelievable or even predictable, I was completely absorbed. And I was left STUNNED.
I appreciated the facts throughout the story about the Illuminati, Vatican City, etc. Solving a puzzle while racing against time. Robert Langdon is very intelligent, resourceful. I liked the short chapters that kept me coming back for more. This is a different type of historical immersion. This is about bringing it to the forefront; something in the past is incredibly relevant, vital, to the present. I was so hooked. This one is so incredibly put together. The awesomeness of this work lies in the battle between science and religion, perhaps one of the most seminal works about that topic.
It is fast-paced, and a well made an example of the action-adventure tale. We learn much about the history of the Illuminati, but the central questions remain ones of faith and science. This is a MASTERPIECE, indeed.
