Mafia 2 - Review - What’s the most expensive thing you’ve broken?

Mafia II - is an open world action-adventure video game developed by 2K Czech and published by 2K Games. 

Hello, my friends! Thanks for coming! Today I am going to talk about Mafia II. (Spoilers)

Vito Scaletta, the main character, and his best friend Joe Barbaro engage in the theft of a jewelry store. Everything goes wrong when the police arrive, and Vito gets arrested. Afraid to embarrass his family, the boy chooses an alternative way to prison, he is sent to fight in World War II in Italy. He goes on a mission against the fascist regime trying to liberate Sicily from the Fascism invasion led by Benito Mussolini. He eliminates some enemies until he is wounded and taken back to the United States. Upon arriving in the US, Vito discovers that his father left a huge debt before he died and now his sister and mother have been threatened. His family is struggling, and with the need to return to the war, he receives the help from Joe, who gets fake papers for him to be discharged from military service.

His father left a debt of $ 2,000, and they are threatening the family with violence. So, one thing is clear: he needs to raise the money fast.

Vito starts helping his friend to get money, getting involved in crime, getting to know the big local mobsters, and doing jobs, and favors for them. First, they do business with Mike Bruski. Bruski is the owner of a junkyard, who accepts "contributions" such as stolen cars to keep his pieces up to date. So Vito takes cars and sells to Bruski at reasonable prices. Then Vito begins to want more profitable jobs than that, so Joe introduces him to a more important man, Federico Pappalardo (Derek). Starting with manual labor, Vito decides to give up because of the low payment.

So Derek decides to make him one of his "tax collectors." He works well but does not earn as much as he would like. Joe soon introduces him to another character: Henry Tomasino. Henry sees Vito's abilities and hires him to perform a few missions of considerable value, such as gasoline credit robbery, as well as the diamond robbery at a downtown mall.

During the night they went to steal the jewelry store. But they weren`t alone! Brian O'Neill was the leader of the rival group that was planning to also take the same store. The police arrive at the scene. Vito and Joe manage to escape this time, but Brian is arrested and vowing vengeance.

Vito does some more dirty servicing, such as murdering some people who were not paying the necessary fees to the Clement family. On a mission to compel a man named Sidney Pen, owner of a whiskey distillery in the city, Henry is shot. They manage to escape from the burning distillery and lead Henry to be treated by the mafia doctor, a man named Andreas Karafantis. Vito gets enough money to pay his family's debt. But his happiness is very temporary: Soon, Vito is arrested by the local police for the assault of the gasoline credit robbery. He is sentenced to 10 years in prison.

But the arrest would not be too bad for Vito. He discovers that, in this presidium, there are one of the most important members of the Vinci family: Leone Galante. In jail, Vito soon conquers the trust of Leone and starts working for him. Serving as a fighter, he participates in tournaments and internal kills and even meets face-to-face again with Brian O'Neill, the man he meets in the jewelry robbery. Of course, Vito defends himself and kill Brian.

Vito receives a visit from his sister, who is announced that she will marry and that their mother is very sick. Vito gives her the money so she can buy a wedding present and call a doctor for their mother. Even with every effort, Mrs. Maria Scaletta dies days later. With an influence of Leone, Vito is released sooner than expected. Vito is a little scared by the cultural revolution that happened. New habits, new clothes, new cars, and everything. Joe went to work for the Falcone family, one of the three largest in Empire Bay. The last three are Vinci, Falcone, and Clement. After doing lots of murdering, killing, favors, etc. Vito has his own mafia.

But in the end, turned on him, after learning that he was involved in drugs. Drugs are the most hated article by any Italian mafia family, and anyone who has seen The Godfather knows this very well.

As a way to pay off his debt with Leone Galante, he goes after Carlo Falcone. He invades an observatory where he hides and meets Joe. Only Joe appears to be on Falcone's side and points a gun at Vito's head. It turns out that this was only to distract, and the two join against Falcone. Finally, after an intense firefight, Vito manages to shoot him. At the exit, they are welcomed by Leone Galante. Vito follows in a limo with him while Joe goes in another limo. Galante tells Vito that he vowed to help Vito, but that Joe Barbaro was not within the agreement they made. The end.

End of this cinematic and impressive story. One of the most beautiful and exciting scenarios. Lots of intense moments.
